It is ok if you don’t go on social media this week

It is ok if you are just trying to get through the holiday season

If you can’t stomach the cheesy family photos online, I see you

If you can’t remember the last time you talked to your parents, I see you

Holidays are hard, and having strained relationships with family makes it harder

But I just want you to know…

I am so proud of you

For standing on business

For not backing down and allowing harmful history to repeat itself

I am proud of you for creating your own traditions

I am proud of you for creating your own families, villages and chaotic love

I am so proud of you, and you should be too

It’s hard, I would not lie to you

But you are doing all the things

Stopping that generational curse in its path will help you shine brighter on your journey
