The $5 by 15 Challenge: Sparking a Visible and Viable Anti-Racism Movement
By: Vix Burgett-Prunty
Kokayi Nosakhere has challenged us, as students, to take meaningful action through the $5 by 15 Challenge. This initiative encourages us to gather 15 friends and commit to sending $5 each week to a different anti-racism pro-humanity educator for 15 weeks. After that, we can repeat the process.
This challenge not only fosters community among students but also actively supports anti-racism education and educators. By collectively contributing, we can help spark a visible and viable anti-racism movement.
Committing just $260 a year can significantly aid anti-racism educators in continuing their important work. This initiative is crucial in building a strong pro-humanity movement, demonstrating how small, consistent contributions can lead to substantial change. Let’s join together in this challenge and create a community dedicated to fostering understanding and promoting equity.
